Jesus washing the disciples’ feet showed true humility and selfless love. Though He was Lord, He chose the lowest place to serve. This act teaches us to do the same; to love others by serving them, even when it costs us. Washing one another’s feet means living humbly, loving sacrificially, and allowing continual spiritual cleansing as we walk with Christ.
In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus commands His followers to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to obey His commandments. This is why we continue to follow the apostles’ teachings; through preaching, celebrating the sacraments and liturgies, and living a life guided by Christ. By doing so, we pass on the faith faithfully, just as it was handed down to us.
Inspired by the deep roots of the Copts in Egypt, this design honors the legacy first spread by St. Mark, who brought the teachings of Christ to the region. The term “Copt” was once used as an insult toward early Egyptian Christians, a label meant to marginalize them. Today, however, we reclaim the name with pride, celebrating our identity, our rich history, and the enduring faith that has shaped generations.
